My personal opinion...and solely my opinion is sythetic is the best stuff goin. I love synthetic...it is expensive, but I think far superior. as for the best brand....try using pro line synthetic racing oil....this oil has anti foaming agents in it....mobil one has very little defense against foaming....h-d's are especially harsh to their oil and will foam it very easily....but i think the Savage probably does well....different oiling systems, but they are still not cars
